Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Prices & Markups

Across 25,589 listed Chevrolet Silverado 1500s nationwide, the average markup is -$123 vs MSRP and 99% are listed at or below sticker, with a median advertised price of $62,205. Updated daily.

The Silverado 1500 is Chevrolet's half-ton and one of the highest-volume trucks on the site behind the F-150 and Ram. The engine menu is strong: the 2.7L Turbo four, the 5.3L and 6.2L V8s, and the 3.0L Duramax turbo-diesel inline-six — the diesel being the underrated pick for real-world highway fuel economy and effortless towing torque.

Trims. WT and Custom anchor the work-and-value end; LT is the volume retail trim and the value sweet spot; RST is the street-styled volume seller; LT Trail Boss and Custom Trail Boss add the factory off-road lift and skid plates; LTZ steps into leather; High Country is the luxury flagship. The Custom and RST are where most retail buyers should start.

On pricing, the Silverado lists at or below MSRP almost universally — but the discounts are thin. The typical listing sits right at sticker, with meaningful dealer concession concentrated in a subset of markets (Idaho, Iowa, Montana, New Hampshire, Wisconsin) rather than handed out across the board. Compared with the Ram 1500 and even GMC's mechanically-identical Sierra, the Silverado is the least-discounted of the three domestic half-tons in our data on a per-truck basis — the savings here lean more on GM's manufacturer incentives than on dealer negotiation. Texas and Florida hold the deepest inventory.
