The RAV4 Hybrid is the volume powertrain for the RAV4 lineup at this point — outselling the gas version in most markets. 219 horsepower combined, 40+ MPG combined, and an electric-assist CVT-style power delivery that's noticeably smoother than the gas version's 8-speed automatic.
Volume trims are LE, XLE, and XSE — each with a $1,500–$2,500 premium over their gas counterparts. The Woodland Edition is the rugged-look hybrid pick, with extra cargo and roof rack provisions. Limited adds the leather and full safety suite. The XSE Premium runs near $40K and starts to look expensive compared to the RAV4 Prime plug-in at the next tier up.
Pricing is generally negotiable on the LE and XLE trims; Limited and the rugged variants hold firmer. Best deals tend to surface in California and Texas; the Pacific Northwest sees more demand for the rugged-look trims and consequently firmer pricing.
