The GV70 is Genesis's compact luxury SUV and the brand's volume model — the direct value-luxury alternative to the BMW X3, Audi Q5, Mercedes GLC, and Lexus NX. Two gas powertrains: the 2.5L turbo four (300 horsepower) and the 3.5L twin-turbo V6 (375 horsepower); the Electrified GV70 is tracked as a separate model on this site.
Trims. The 2.5T Select and 2.5T Advanced anchor the volume; the 2.5T Sport Prestige and 3.5T Sport Prestige are the loaded trims; the 3.5T brings the V6 for buyers who want the performance. Standard equipment is generous across the board — the value pitch that built the Genesis brand.
The GV70 is the price-discipline outlier in this batch. Where the domestic trucks and the Subarus routinely list below sticker, the GV70 does not discount — only a low single-digit percentage of listings sit below MSRP, and the overwhelming majority are at or above it. Genesis's value is baked into the MSRP relative to the German competition, not handed back at the desk. Florida is the largest market by a wide margin, followed by California, Texas, and Illinois. If you're cross-shopping, the discount you won't get on a GV70 you likely will on a comparably-equipped Lexus NX or a domestic-luxury alternative.
