Powertrains match the Escalade: 6.2L V8 gas (volume) and 3.0L Duramax turbo-diesel. The Escalade-V is not offered in ESV form; if you want the supercharged 682-horsepower variant, you're looking at the standard-length Escalade.
Pricing on the gas ESV has loosened over the past year. Below-MSRP deals appear in Sport and Premium Luxury trims; the Platinum trims hold firmer. The diesel ESV is the underrated pick — significantly better real-world fuel economy than the gas V8, with the powertrain pulling well under load.
