The Elantra is Hyundai's compact sedan — a model that's been refreshed regularly and now competes seriously with the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic on value, styling, and feature content. Two gas powertrains: 2.0L (147 horsepower) and the 1.6L turbo (201 horsepower, N Line). A 1.6L hybrid is also available.
Five trims: SE, SEL, SEL Convenience, Limited, N Line. The SEL Convenience is the volume pick — it adds the safety suite and the leather without pushing into Limited pricing. The N Line is the sport-styled gas trim.
Pricing is one of the most competitive in the segment. Below-MSRP Elantra deals are routine, often with $2K-plus in stacked manufacturer rebates and dealer concession. For buyers cross-shopping the Corolla, the Elantra is the more aggressively-discounted option in most markets.
